"Before we left from our vacation we already booked to come back to this cute house! This house had everything we needed for my husband, two teenage boys, two dogs and myself. One thing out of many, we loved about this cute house is that it was walking distance for things to do but far enough that the beach was not even close to being crowded! We had so much room to run, play, relax and just enjoy the beach! Best of both worlds! My 17 year old slept in the loft, he also had two dog crates up there for the dogs. Plenty of room. He actually chose to sleep there and he said it was very comfortable. My 15 year old wanted to wake up and see the beach first thing so he wanted to sleep on the pull out sleeper (the couch). He was very comfortable. My husband and I slept in the master bedroom. The mattress was a little harder than we are used to but we still slept good. Honestly we stayed at a five star resort a few weeks later and we got better sleep at this house compared to the resort. We did not use the other bedroom. Only because we did not need to use it. We put our clothes in the dressers, chest of drawers and there was a rack to hang the clothes up in the bedroom we did not use. The kitchen had everything we needed and more! We had shrimp/crab boils a few nights and did a little other cooking. The house was clean. We would not stay somewhere that was not clean. The tile in one bathroom did need a little work. Not sure if it has been fixed since we have been down there. But it did not stop us from enjoying the house and everything St. George island has to offer! The view we absolutely AMAZING (omg AMAZING) and it was just so easy running down to the beach back for house.. down to the beach back to the house all day! We cooked, went out to eat some, enjoyed the balcony, watched dolphins (from the balcony), caught so many crabs, did some fishing, played with our dogs on the beach, did a little shopping, played miniature golf, went to the light house, went to the state park, played so many games on the beach, stayed up looking at the stars and so much more. I could go on and on! It was a great week! We are counting down the days till we can be back!

Sucky house with an amazing view

"This house is old but has an amazing view. It is NOT big enough for 6 adults and 2 children. The owner has EVERY closet locked so good luck storing any of your stuff. You are “issued” 1 towel, 1 hand towel, and 1 wash cloth per person, yet there are 16 coffee cups and 16 bowls. There is NO rhyme to the reasons. The internet does not work. I reported it because I needed to work. I was told the owner never has a problem. They did send a technician who made a repair but we spent the rest of the week with intermittent service so we used our hotspot. We found dirty linen, empty bottles, and a bag of shredded cheese under the bed. Master bed broke the first day … only the bottom sockets work in all the outlets … I could go on. We love the beach but this rental leaves me feeling more than salty.

Thank you for taking the time to review our home. You can’t beat the beach front views! Fickling states what it provides, and that we cannot guarantee internet service on the island. While the closets are locked there is a hanging garment rack and dressers for your belongings for the week. We like our kitchen adequately stocked too! When the owners visit they have no trouble working from home (internet based) but we’re glad a technician from the cable company was able to repair. Please make sure all houskeeping concerns are brought to our attention immediately so we can fix. We’re sorry to hear this left you feeling salty and wish we could’ve addressed for you during your stay.

"This home was serviceable but for the cost there were some issues that need to be addressed. The loft bedroom is really only useable for a small person the ceiling is very low, the stairs are steep, and the space is small but the bed was comfortable according to my 10 yr old grandson. The main floor bathroom needs some space for storage. Kitchen was nice and worked well. Bedroom down is small but comfy and attached bathroom needs tile work soon (I put a towel over broken tiles). Master bedroom is roomy but bathroom is really small and no places to put toiletries while in the shower (put in corner rack?) and the bed was very firm. The screened in deck was where I slept so I could listen to the ocean but the obstructed view due to the stairs made it not the place we wanted to hang out. Kayaks were cool but we never used them - outside shower is great. Walkway to the beach has quite a slant to it and maybe could have used stairs instead? The dune is quite high but overall it is very quiet here. If you want large crowds go towards the lighthouse. SGI has changed a lot in the 3 years since we have started going there but it has a gorgeous beach and great food/people!

Great Stay

"Our stay at Beach Front Baby was amazing! It's right on the beach. You can sit and enjoy the ocean all day. Beds are comfy. Pleanty of seating in the livingroom. All you need to cook in the kitchen. Pay attention to the master bathroom. It's very small. House was a little worn, but it was perfect for a family with kids. We would stay here again! Thanks so much for a great vacation!
