Peaceful family stay

We enjoyed this house on St. George Island, a beach island we had never visited before. We were pleasantly surprised! The house was in a great location right inside the plantation- much more wooded and private than the rest of the island. It took 7 minutes to walk from the house to the ocean’s water. A little inconvenient if you don’t like to walk or are carrying a baby, but it’s a lovely walk surrounded by trees and quiet houses. We didn’t mind the walk most of the time, since you don’t have to cross any busy roads and get to go over a boardwalk through a tree covered dune. Try out the nature trails around the house too! We enjoyed the house itself- plenty of room inside and lots of natural light. Would have been nice to have room darkening curtains for kids rooms since the blinds were very transparent. Kitchen was fully stocked with plates and utensils, unlike some other places we have stayed before. We loved the screened porch! It was on the 3rd story (note, there are lots of stairs), and it was very private and we could hear the wildlife and see the bay. Highly likely we will visit here again!
