Great Escape

If you love all things ocean, this is the place for you. Most rooms have a wonderful view of the water, and the large deck is a great way to start your day, listening to the waves with your morning coffee. The beach is just steps away, making it very easy to get your toes wet. While not guaranteed, we did see dolphins from the deck, and even had some swim past us while in the water, which was really cool. This house has everything you need to feel at home. Comfortable beds, plenty of kitchen gear, a grill, outdoor shower, and a fenced, in-ground pool with a sitting area. It’s a relaxing oasis to just unwind with a cool beverage. If exploring local businesses interests you, there are several close bars and restaurants that are very good. Kids loved the ice cream shop and the pizza parlor! Personal preference here, but the oysters at Paddy’s are definitely worth trying. The local beers are also great. The Island winds down fairly early, and the lights at night are minimal, for the protection of the sea turtles. Because of the lack of light pollution, you can see many more stars than is possible in any city, which I always appreciate. I would not hesitate to go back, and do it all over again.
