Enjoyable stay

Our family of 4 enjoyed the quiet location off the main path of the beach. We often stay bayside when we visit SGI for the privacy and view. We also enjoyed the opportunity to walk or bike to the other parts of the island and to visit the beach from different access points as we visit. This was our first stay in the plantation which was a definite benefit. It provided access to plantation amenities our family enjoys such as the well kept bike and nature trails, pickleball courts, tennis courts, community pools (nice for ocean days that have murky waters with jelly fish or seaweed beyond comfortable swimming use). Also enjoyed the opportunity to see the far west end of the island and “climb the rocks” and watch sunsets at Jake’s Hole. Smaller home perfect for a single family or two smaller families with young children. There was a nice set of bunk beds that appealed to our 10 year old son, and a second King bed our 14 year old daughter was excited to find. Three full bathrooms was a plus too. The basic supplies were available for use including pots and pans of all sizes and need, washer and dryer, hair dryers, and dish soap/dishwasher tablets, bath towels, kitchen towels, and oven mitts. The home had an open concept through the kitchen, living, and dining area. The kitchen had nice newer appliances. The living room had plenty of seating for our family but we found we spent much of our time playing games at the table or out on the screened in porch. Fickling was easy to work with and made our last minute rental a breeze from reservation to check-in to check-out. Overall a very enjoyable stay – we would rent here again.
