FAMILY TIDES - Nestled in the pines of The Plantation sits Family Tides on Bayberry Lane, convenient to the Plantation Gate with neighborhood beach access point and The Plantation bike path just steps away. This 3 BR 3 Bath home features privacy away from the hustle and bustle and a large screened in porch with west facing views. Enjoy the beautiful sunsets over the bay through the trees. When you enter Family Tides you have two king bedrooms on the first floor, one with sliding glass doors out to the porch and both with their own en suite bathrooms. Upstairs you have a spacious living room, large 50" flat screen TV, fully stocked open kitchen with updated appliances and an oasis for the kids with a set of bunk beds and twin bed located upstairs in the third bedroom (this bedroom has a door to the deck and total of 4 twins). Upstairs you also have a bathroom with shower.

Family Tides is conveniently located in The Plantation and has access to the community pool(s), tennis court (s), and fitness center. Beach access is just steps down the street without the need to cross Leisure Lane, and beach/pool/tennis access with parking is located on Magnolia Lane. Also, just a short 7 minute walk to the community Resort Pool.

*This home participates in the St. George Plantation amenities program, including two community pools, tennis and pickle-ball courts, the Plantation Clubhouse and fitness center. Please note: Golf Carts are not allowed with rentals in the Plantation.

"St George is wonderful and this house is perfect for enjoying the island. The owners are so wonderful and helpful. Can't say enough nice things about them. 100% recommend Family Tides for any trips to St George.

"I stayed here with a few friends for a short vacation and it was exactly what we needed. The house is in a great location in the gated community - Short walk to the beach and to the club house pool. The house has everything you need. The screened in upstairs porch was a great spot to have morning coffee and dinners and we had enough room to spread out and have our own space. Would definitely stay here again!

"The Family Tides home was the perfect headquarters for our St George Island getaway. The AC, the rooms, the coziness, the VHS collection (and the usual streamers), and the short walk to an epic beach made for a home away from home. If you’re looking for an idyllic place to have fun and chill out in style, Family Tides is it. Run, don’t walk!

Enjoyable stay

"Our family of 4 enjoyed the quiet location off the main path of the beach. We often stay bayside when we visit SGI for the privacy and view. We also enjoyed the opportunity to walk or bike to the other parts of the island and to visit the beach from different access points as we visit. This was our first stay in the plantation which was a definite benefit. It provided access to plantation amenities our family enjoys such as the well kept bike and nature trails, pickleball courts, tennis courts, community pools (nice for ocean days that have murky waters with jelly fish or seaweed beyond comfortable swimming use). Also enjoyed the opportunity to see the far west end of the island and "climb the rocks" and watch sunsets at Jake's Hole. Smaller home perfect for a single family or two smaller families with young children. There was a nice set of bunk beds that appealed to our 10 year old son, and a second King bed our 14 year old daughter was excited to find. Three full bathrooms was a plus too. The basic supplies were available for use including pots and pans of all sizes and need, washer and dryer, hair dryers, and dish soap/dishwasher tablets, bath towels, kitchen towels, and oven mitts. The home had an open concept through the kitchen, living, and dining area. The kitchen had nice newer appliances. The living room had plenty of seating for our family but we found we spent much of our time playing games at the table or out on the screened in porch. Fickling was easy to work with and made our last minute rental a breeze from reservation to check-in to check-out. Overall a very enjoyable stay - we would rent here again.

"We enjoyed this house on St. George Island, a beach island we had never visited before. We were pleasantly surprised! The house was in a great location right inside the plantation- much more wooded and private than the rest of the island. It took 7 minutes to walk from the house to the ocean’s water. A little inconvenient if you don’t like to walk or are carrying a baby, but it’s a lovely walk surrounded by trees and quiet houses. We didn’t mind the walk most of the time, since you don’t have to cross any busy roads and get to go over a boardwalk through a tree covered dune. Try out the nature trails around the house too! We enjoyed the house itself- plenty of room inside and lots of natural light. Would have been nice to have room darkening curtains for kids rooms since the blinds were very transparent. Kitchen was fully stocked with plates and utensils, unlike some other places we have stayed before. We loved the screened porch! It was on the 3rd story (note, there are lots of stairs), and it was very private and we could hear the wildlife and see the bay. Highly likely we will visit here again!

"The house was nice enough but quite dated in many details. Lots of minor repairs/replacements needed, TV in one of the masters that was positioned in such a way that it couldn't be watched and "yard sale" kitchen utensils. Also, the walk to the beach is a lot more that "just steps". About 200 yards or more. Less than expected for the price and we won't book again.
